The Open Sore of a Continent; A Personal Narrative of the Nigerian Crisis, by Wole Soyinka Wole Soyinka was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1986. He is exiled from his homeland, Nigeria, and lives in London and Cambridge, MA. This book focuses on the Nigerian problems of the 1990s as well as broader problems of nationalism, corruption, violence and the legacy of colonialism.
